    Hi cso1,

It's odd how changes in the "futures" prices for certain commodities bear little relationship to the price we pay over the counter for the self same commodity. In particular, I've been looking at the coffee price over the past year or two. Coffee has been trading at record low levels due apparently to over production. Has the price of coffee to the consumer come down? No sirree bob, it has not! My local wholesaler/retailer has recently raised his prices.... All I can say is that while the poor old producer in his third world country gets less and less for his product some middle man is getting fatter and fatter.....
