I've also been reading mixed reviews about the latest detector but am not concerned. The same thing happened with the release of their previous detector.
At the end of the day CDA have a proven track record in producing market leading detectors(good enough to counterfeit so they must be doing something right!) so I'm putting my faith in them over a few passionate hobbyists.
