Misty, in the cause of world peace, it is madness to have them there at all. But even though you call me an extreme right wing nutcase, even I accept that NATO is not really about peace.
I would be more comfortable if they were missiles rather than airborne bombs. The former certainly cannot be fired without the knowledge of the POTUS. Bombs however, can be captured in a full on military raid. I have no idea if each bomb is coded but I have never heard of it.
If such a raid occurred a red alarm would sound and fury that hell has never known would fall on those [by now] crappy old Turkish non-stealthy F16s. We must look for the silver lining.
