I read Dracula once. It was a real laugh. The heroine was having her blood sucked on a regular basis and nobody realized what was going on. But nevertheless her male acquaintances were taking it in turns to roll up their sleeves and give blood. The transfusions were done by a doctor with apparently no equipment and there was no consideration at all of blood types.
