Indeed, coffee grounds are organic. In my area we now have bins that you only put food scraps and other compost-able materials, I add shredded newspaper in the bottom of the bin (helps it empty properly and keep the bin clean. All this gets turned into compost.
Those coffee capsules I have an issue with, I don't think they stack up well on a cost per cup basis but also those capsules can't be recycled
