The link above will take you to the Cogmate Thailand website which appears to be in test mode. To date we have had the launch in Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong. However, it appears that the approach they are taking in Thailand is a bit different to the others, they are going to let you buy the test from the website directly. It looks like they are going to charge 200 baht or US$5 per test. I find this interesting as Cogmate is just a pre triage tool that say nothing more than you might want to visit the doctor, it is not the clinical test that a doctor will give you when they triage you. My assumption had always been that Cogmate would essentially be a free at the point of use test or would be paid for by the corporate sponsors as is the model in Japan and Taiwan. It would seem that Eisai is experimenting with different charging models.
I am looking forward to the US roll out of Cogmate, which cannot be that far away now.
