But for the life of me, why did they set the bar so high on the already dicey world of car charging?


A good question, I can only presume it is for dramatic effect.

Although only being able to provide enough charge to drive up to 5km (based on the performance rights hurdles) is hardly significant.

However, I presume the board believe that at the time of arranging the performance rights that they are a realistic chance of exceeding this. And if they do exceed this, then with further enhancements, who knows how high they can get.

To significantly exceed the performance hurdles could well hype stock back up well above 10c. Only time will tell.
