The plaintiffs argue that the SEC lacks such authority, despite the SEC frequently asserting otherwise. CFAT accuses the SEC's actions of creating an unlawful and unpredictable environment for the cryptocurrency industry, hindering companies like Lejilex from developing securely. CFAT comprises several leaders in the cryptocurrency industry, including Coinbase, Andreessen Horowitz's a16z Crypto division, Ledger, Paradigm, and Blockchain Capital. The outcome of the lawsuit may influence the SEC's future regulatory stance towards the cryptocurrency industry.
