ok focus is on iron ore and understandably, and i have to admit that its kinda lonely out here and quiet to boot...but more things are happening and i just wanted to draw attention to the developments with VivoTech, who have just been lauded for their new terminals capable of handling NFC payments and for the success of major field trials of NFC in many major markets.

VivoTech recently had major funding from First Data and you may recall that Keycorp signed a managed contract with First Data recently. No co-incidence here I would suggest. Telstra trials NFC in the new year and they will not be market leaders. Once in place expect a rapid roll of smart chip/card solutions including dual-combi cards by banks and telcos as they play catch-up to the US and Asian markets.
