I see now the Indonesians are taking up a collection to repay Australia the billion dollars it received for tsunami aid. It's symbolic of course, but it says volumes about the damage Abbott has done to our foreign relations with our nearest neighbour.

Of course the armchair generals here on HC will be saying "who cares" and "let's get tough with Indonesia" etc ad nauseam but those of us who think that foreign relations should be based on respect rather than grandstanding will abhor yet another example of Abbott's incompetence and ham fistedness.
