I received a call from my broker today asking if I was willing to lend some of my CKA for another client who is short Cokal. They have been selling CKA and need to borrow stock to deliver on the settlement. When this happens only one thing occurs. the price starts to go up and the shorters start to panic and short more then when news comes out they short more and ultimately they are forced to cover and the price goes up crazy in a very short amount of time. This could happen very shortly with Cokal.
