Will Trump tariffs trigger a US/ Global slowdown? Will it reduce coal demand? Will global tariffs trigger a mini meltdown while supply chains and trade flows readjust, causing the price to spike for countries that need to import energy. And how much will these two offset each other? Two years ago I would not have believed the amount of new coal that could be produced, and yet China appears to be mining more than it needs, and still importing (notwithstanding the nuances of grades/ cal etc). So China has built big stockpiles to smooth it's demand (and perhaps to benefit should the price rising again). What about our traditional customers. I note today a trade co-operation agreement b/w South Korea, Japan and China. While nothing major yet, geo-polotics is definitely shifting around fast.
Would be interested in others thoughts, though those on ignore will definitely be staying there. I have better things to with my time.
