Socialism only works until the socialists run out of other people's money... which is where the situation sits now. The debt fuelled bourgeoisie lifestyle of the socialists is being paid for by the working class... the same people who voted for DJT... the deplorables... They voted for DJT because he promised to end the theft of their work by threat of violence... yes, violence... because the established deep state has a relative monopoly on violence as they can jail you and in some states where there are firearms restrictions, they have monopolised firearm violence. This ability of the US working class to stand up to the bourgeoisie socialists is rooted in their war for independence, when they did the same thing to the English socialists of their day.

What we're witnessing is the collapse of western communism in an orderly way. In the same way that babushkas would sell their household goods (eg bottles of expensive vodka) on the streets of post soviet Moscow, were likely to see similar, although not as drastic poverty, through the USA as DJT unwinds the socialist economy and unconstrains the invisible hand of Adam Smith.

Again, coal and hydrocarbons in general will hold up better than other classes because of their fundamental currency like attributes.
