Guys, Alex can sometimes be over bearing (like me) however he does point out a lot of stuff that is contrary to your own views.
You all say WHC is the best, going to make big money, coal is at the bottom etc etc. Really?
Facts are facts and he hasn't got too much wrong. Give just a little credit to him if you have it in your brain (not heart)
Man, I'm heavily invested in coal and doing my absolute balls. Hopefully all coal companies can survive this down/sideways cycle until it ticks the other way (if it ever does).
We are in a different world. We need to accept that today is and was different to past years and decades. Climate change advocates are out in droves, governments around the world are buidling other sources of energy that don't emit CO2. Is that form energy enough? No it isn't but it has replaced a lot of fossil fuel energy and will continue to do so.
20 years ago I would always do as my mum and dad would say. Today my my young child won't do anything but stay on her phone and getting her to just empty the dishwasher is a huge chore. Really?
The point is that times are changing. Trump can do whatever he wants with coal, it doesn't help coal companies in Australia. The only way I see for coal prices to go up is for mines to go into C&M, disruption to coal supply, supply constraints and having China fill up their new and under development coal fire plants with clean beautiful coal from Australia. Even then there is no certainty that met and/or thermal coal will turn intop supply deficit. They have their own untapped sources of coal as well.
Alex says coal is doomed and/or coal is not the right play today (yet). He hasn't been wrong and you cannot expect him to be right all the time either. He has been looking at coal on a macro level and has got it right thus far. Hmmm how long has been right for? LOL.

How can anyone dispute anything he is saying with regard to coal? I couldn't care about climate change to be honest, I just want coal stocks to move up. Only way they do that from here is for them to improve profitability. Currently all coal companies earnings are falling and have been for sometime.

It is what it is, you can say whatever you like but we shareholders of coal companies right now are effed.

This might help coal but in decades to come. If you don't have an ABCIview account I highly recommend you register. This could be a massive thing for coal going forward. It's also a great insight into climate change.

Have an open mind. If you can't handle opposing views you shouldn't be on here.
