Don't disagree that WHC and Coal are important to the energy mix. As I said I am currently positive WHC and Coal in the current climate, but will sell before a sell off comes if need be to preserve capital. Yes Coal and WHC could be a good bet to bounce back quicker than other commodities. In general I am overweight Gold , Critical Minerals, Rare Earths and Silver as other resources that will bounce back from any sudden downturn. The secret is to be overweight, but be happy to sell if you think a substantial drop is coming , then pick up the cheapies as it bottoms. i had some success in 2020 when I saw how ameturish the Trump administration was handling covid. I quickly harved my holding on most stocks a few days before the shit hit the ceiling fan and had cash available when it bottomed out. Had a year of 40% return, when others had a loss. Suppose the Orange bloke could be the gift that keeps on giving. Currently 40 % Gold/Silver stocks 40% Cash and 20% a mix of others , which some I have been selling down to hold more cash. My YTD return is starting to look good and is now well into double figures. Good luck with your holdings in this volatility.
