WHC whitehaven coal limited

    Its tough because when I first looked at WHC (May/June 2022) there was a huge price discrepancy between the coal price, and the share price.

    Funnily enough, my first purchase was about $6 IIRC, and the coal price was $350USD+
    Now the coal price is a third of that, yet the share price is holding up well at almost $5.
    Okay, add in Met coal, but thats still trading at about $190USD, but the costs are also a lot higher than 3 years ago too.

    Yes I understand they've paid off debt, and made acquisitions. My point is, back in 2022, there was what appeared to be, very limited downside.
    Right now, it seems the share price is still over valued, you could argue fair value, but certainly not undervalued.

    Like I said, it'll be interesting to read the quarterly report. The last few quarterlies have seen a bounce, followed by a sell off over following days.
