BTU is actually very well placed IMO.

A great medium sized coking coal resource, close to infrastructure, in an existing coal mining district and importantly - located in NZ.

Who would of ever thought we would think a coal project located in NZ has an advantageous advantage over a similar project in Australia?

    NZ STOCK EXCHANGE LISTING
BTU have said they are pursuing a NZ stock exchange listing. As it stands the mechanics of the 'super tax' are still to be worked out. It is unclear how it applies to resources projects overseas that are mined by Australian companies. It does look as if it is simply a different corporate tax rate for resources companies at the moment. If that is the case, BTU will most likely just move the whole company to NZ where it will avoid a super tax and just pay the standard 30% corporate tax. The ASX will probably just become a secondary listing.

    PRO-MINING PRIME MINISTER
This at a time when NZ has elected its most pro-mining Priminister in a long time. John Key has been effusive in his praise of Australia's resources boom and has stated this is a key plank to NZ maintaining prosperity and closing the gap with Australia.

Who would of thought we would be saying its better to be investing in resources in NZ?

Get on board. Drilling as we speak. JORC statement due sometime thereafter.
