I think using the right combination of all the tools available to you when choosing what stocks to buy and when is essential..research the fundamentals first to find the winners and then look at a chart to see what it's been doing, and what it is likely to be doing..However I do believe that in the end the fundamentals will control the SP for me I would not buy a stock that did not have good fundamentals that is essential and requires some research but then a nice chart just makes it even sweater..
