re: coldry is the best coal drying technology ... if you really want to compare where esi sits relative to exergen then it is useful to look at who is backing them.

exergen is backed by the Tata Group of India - Tata has a market cap of $US 100 billion +, and has about 90 000 employees in 85 countries.

Tata's website says they have 49 staff working exclusively on clean energy projects as they try and keep ahead of stricter carbon emission rules coming into play in India over the next few years.

The other backers of the exergen tech include Itochu of Japan (MC of $US 50 billion) and Australia's largest coal infrastructure developers - the Sedgman/Thiess coal JV.
