It’s important to note that out of all the prospects the Coy approached to get Coldry Commercialised it seems know one was willing to take the risk to spend the money.
I would assume that the Coy has approached multiple steel makers to commercialise MATMOR – now looking at the $300+ million cost ( depending on country), what entity would be willing to risk that amount to get this past bench scale to the R&D phase to commercial stage – even though the reasons are compelling in regards to cost it is still a massive risk. It would be impossible to fund ourselves. The strategic path would be to get Coldry across the line then bolt on Matmor.
What we have in India is 2 companies with a 10 Billion Dollar Market cap between them who have funds to splurge on R&D and take on such a project in its infancy to advance onto commercial.
We can whinge about how slow this has advanced but look at the reasons and you can see what this management is potentially going to achieve to get these 2 entities to fund the whole lot including Matmor to get this to the potential commercial stage.
Management are not getting the credit they deserve to strategically get this to this level including Matmor by starting off with only the Coldry Project with NLC and then adding Matmor to the Mix and add to that move
from R&D phase to commercial phase!! – supplying the funds, Coal, Iron and Land. Yes, everyone wants to make profit on a penny stock quickly but a project of this size can we realistically have this done and dusted in a couple of years, a good point the COY mentioned was it takes 10 years for a tech to get at a commercial level this should have been done by an ASX200 stock – hopefully ECT become that soon!
