When reading about exergen locating their demo plant at the Energy Brix Morell Power Station I did a bit of reading about Energy Brix. Apparently they have mostly shut down but a handful of power station shift workers remain to operate two boilers which will supply steam to the briquette factory. Apparently the govt gave them $50M to maintain production of briquettes for a limited period of time so that downstream users have the required time and certainty to switch to cleaner fuels, such as gas.
Can anyone tell me anything about these briquettes? Is it much different to other briquettes being promoted as "new technology"?
