coles - feed a family of 4 for $6

- yep - forget the rubbish about the recipe, where some coles person tells people how to feed a family of 4 for $10. the final insult was that the food had to be prepared and cooked.

the other day, watso was idly wandering around in a coles store, and his eagle eye spotted a "special" (ie not rtc - or reduced to clear). sadly there were only 2 tins left - which was important in a way, because watso's mind went into overdrive, and decided to snap up the last two tins.

the tins of food, was coles beef curry for $1.50 per tin- or the equivalent of feeding a family of 4, for only $6.

the beef curry is still in the tins, but watso checked out the ingredients (about 25% beef) - which was not much more than beef, veges and curry powder - with water - and compare that to the ingredients of a pie
