Joining the movement to Green Power1. Coles is Australia’s 12th largest electricity user. The supermarket chain consumes 1% of Australia’s electricity, and going renewable will create 571 Megawatts of wind and solar: enough to power all the homes in Tasmania!
2. Every Australian knows Coles. When people see big companies they know and use every day switching to renewable energy it builds confidence we can power our biggest businesses - and indeed our entire country - entirely on the wind and sun!
3. Momentum keeps building. Telstra, ALDI, Bunnings, Officeworks, Woolworths, Coca Cola Amatil and now Coles have all committed to get off coal and switch to renewables! This momentum helps strengthen our demand for other big businesses like Kmart, Westfield and Optus to do the same.
