I usually shop at my local Coles because its convenient. The Aldi store is an extra 5 minutes away even though their meat is much cheaper and looks the same, the Canstar survey on supermarket meat rates them higher than Coles.
Now I find I have to shop at Aldi because the things I want aren't available at Coles. They have been replaced by plastic meat substitutes and "free range" this and that. Seems like a poor decision by Coles to me. Their meat section is now being stocked by vegans.
Perhaps they are trying to appeal to the aged hippy cheeks in my mainly retiree area, I don't live in Nimbin.
