A bit of retail detective work required here, folks ... in your local Coles, check out the products each week (same day) and calculate how many they are selling. You can put a mark (fingernail imprint) on each box to check if they have got rid of last week’s box. Of course you won’t know if they have replaced it more than once, but assume the worst to be conservative.
Why? So you can get a feel for how many units we might be selling nationwide:
it’s a rough guide, but:
PIPE FILL
Noble: 819 x pack size 4 = 3276
Sleep/calm/body: 589 x 3 x 4 = 7068
Total pipe fill = 10,344 units
assuming $15* income = $155,160
(*probably a bit high as most sales happen when on special, so @$10 income = $103,440)
QUARTERLY SALES
Assuming we sell one unit of each product per week:
819+(3x589) = 2586 units per week
x13 = 33,618 units per quarter
@$15 income = $504,270
if we use $10 income, that’s $336,180
ANNUAL SALES somewhere between
$1,344,720 (@$10 income)
and
$2,017,080 (@$15 income)
Woolworths - 995 stores (say 600 as they may not all range all the products)
plus Chemist Warehouse 300 stores = 900
adfitional quarterly income could be:
900 x 4 x 13 = 46,800 units per quarter
so between
$468,000 (@$10 income)
and
$702,000 (@$15 income)
That would give an extra $1.872m - $2.807m pa
Adding all 3 retailers together gives $3.217m - $4.824m pa
A lot of assumptions in there, but it’s a start!
