The Aussie Post venture into insurance is as an agency only so they are simply receiving commission from an insurer for selling the product (if memory serves me correctly the insurer is a South African mob??).

The wes 'trial' is utilising their own underwriting capability via WFI/Lumley so they can carry the risk also.

If this trial is successful i'm sure you will see Coles selling other financial services in the future - home insurance, life insurance, super etc. Wes have the products available, they just need tweaking to sell them on a direct basis via all their retail outlets.

If it works it will be a pretty powerful, and cheap, sales outlet for these products.

    Just keep clippen the ticket....

    Cheers,
    Mac
