Colin Barnett made a veiled threat to the Woodside and partners to strip them of up to one third of the Browse leases. The retention lease of the WA gas expires in November next year.

"It should not be assumed that the retention of Commonwealth leases automatically means the retention of the state leases. We will look at this project-if it goes offshore, if that's what the proponents want-entirely from square one. I'm just making the point and I hope the companies listen, don't assume anything."

I love it because to be truthful in my opinion, the Browse partners are nothing but a bunch of (MODERATED)
