Hi again and many thanks for everyone's updates...sorry if I am going over old ground...
Mega, in response to your last comment - maybe doing things 'properly' - 'rigorous research standards' - just takes a long time & is very expensive? It can also stymie innovation, which the current government says they want to stop - but which people say has 'stopped' alternate power options. (Many spaces remain uncertain politically and I would say energy is still one of them)
However see this for Defence: http://reneweconomy.com.au/2015/defence-housing-to-create-solar-suburb-in-darwin-ready-for-evs-29977
So why the suburbs of Darwin and why not in remote community solar power? PNG have been doing it for years. As have Germany. There is more than enough sun! Because analysis (long term) says it will decease their costs and increase their independence...maybe? And suburban is less risk?
My husband says (ex defence).... Defence are very good at picking options that will reduce cost in the long term.....and support their priority...so that's the space I see CWE in..and therefore subject to incredible 'scrutiny'. I do some work for research and have to tell the people giving the information that they may not see the report for 6-12 months - if ever (government can choose to release or not release information if they commission the work! So, I feel for CWE being a public company with shareholders waiting for results in this context.....
Clearly speculative...happy to be involved, but not sure I will ever make real money from investment.
Best wishes to all...if you have read this far xoxox to you.
