The banks have one ace up their sleeve. Endless assistance from the government in the form of regulation easements, favourable tax treatment and public dollars festooned onto the property industry in the form of RentKeeper, etc. to keep their industry afloat and share price up. I don't ever want to hear a bank shareholder bitch and bellyache about "free money" given to the unemployed while they themselves roll in pig troughs of taxpayer cash.
