A deal that was to have saved failed Western Australian gold producer View Resources has fallen through. Mincor Resources will not proceed with an acquisition of View's 30% holding in the Carnilya Hill nickel project, of which it owns the other 70%, because conditions were not satisfied in time. View has appointed administrators after a $A3.5m production shortfall. The news was mostly unexpected and attention is being paid to View's reporting and trading in its shares the day before it entered a trading halt
