>> Having read all the literature surrounding the benefits of using colloidal silver
Does any of the literature you have read include properly controlled clinical trials?
I suffer from colds/flu symptoms with the same pattern you describe (like everyone else), but sometimes I think I'm coming down with a cold only to have it disappear the next day. This is normal and not necessarily the product of any intervention. I don't take anything for colds, except maybe something for pain relief. A reasonably healthy body is quite capable of disposing of a cold all by itself.
There are very good reasons why it is illegal in the US and Australia to make medical efficacy claims in relation to colloidal silver - the risks far outweigh any possible benefits.

Any literature using the phrase "big pharma" should set off your sceptical radar.
The "big pharma" conspiracy is actually beneficial to large pharmaceutical companies. Your local pharmacy is now full of products advertised as "supplements." These products make no medical claims (yet people still buy them to treat illness) so the companies that make these products don't have to follow any of the rigorous efficacy and safety protocols that actual medicine requires.
Guess who produces and markets many of these products? Large pharmaceutical companies.
