Its the fact that many people are on very tight budgets and fixed incomes, they cant afford to pay 20-30% more for their shopping. It isnt about the $1 extra, is out of the $1 extra who gets what on the supply chain?

I remember the government added 10cents to $1 a litre milk... The buffoons couldnt make it simple . By simple I mean this : If a farmer is being paid say 50c a litre, then from that dat they get paid 60 c a litre. Everyone then adds the same 10c so at retail instead of $1 it was $1 :10. No extra work involved, but no there were managers , committees and so many staff working out to pay the farmers and from memory it took months and months and months before the farmers actually saw any money.

So the Milk was selling for $1 a litre, up to $1.10 ... Fast forward 2 years , the 10 c levy has been scrapped , and we are paying $1.30 a litre for home brand milk. So how much extra is the farmer getting now??? How much has it increased?
