Someone should really email the CEO over EPS......I couldn't be ffd but maybe next month.....
Zwu, SHV's announcement does not suggest 7 cents EPS in second half... (does not mean it won't happen, but that's not what they said)
The reference is to 'underlying profit' being 15% to 20% down......
The fact is first half was already 20% down underlying!!!!! and it equaled 18 cents in the black and white of their report. SHV traditionally has halfs that are of similar weighting.....
Maybe my 40 cents EPS is a little or a lot optimistic but it all depends on management disclosure.
For example, management reference to 'underlying profit' technically should not include the mature orchards they just acquired....as that is not an operation that existed last year...
The new acquisition should be a nice cashflow boost
