    Good evening Sypaladin

    Glad you get it;

    The books will never balance with a carbon tax...
    reminiscent of the Whitlam years many years of rebalancing,
    turmoil...need more than the mining sector to get through this one...might have to get on the sheeps back again.
    It cost $100 in deisel to slash a 15 acre paddock not including wear and tear and 8 to 10 hours time in order to save on fertiliser which is detrimental to the enviroment and users carbon additives...this method also self mulches the ground therefore saving irrigation eg water...a costly exercise bound to be more expensive..most farmers are not rich quite the contrary.
    In the country natural gas is not available in most cases therefore more reliant on electricity for heating and cooling in a harsh enviroment..not to mention distance travelled in motor vehicles as the corner store does not exist.
    Double whammy... up goes deisel,petrol and electricity with no or little compensation especially in the extreme hot and cold enviroments.

    'They just don't get it'
