Actually croupier, while I agree with your last post to some extent I think your comments are too general and also that they apply more to Afghanistan, Iran, Syria and Palestine than to Iraq.
From what I have seen many Iraqis are better educated, less religious and more civilized than some of their neighbours.
It appears that about 90% of them hated Saddam's regime and would like a more peaceful society, but the 10% who don't are hell bent on preventing this from happening.
