the only thing that is ridiculous is that PL anticipated a DMR decision a week ago. His mistake was that he spoke too soon.
We all know that if NKP was relisted that the sp would get smashed without news on the status of both Garatau and Tubatse farms. More rumors and bad mouth would follow.So why should NKP take this chance? 99% of shareholders would support this trading halt.
Surely a few weeks wait until the DMR communicates its decision is advantageous to all? Even those who wish to exit.
NKP has most likely not gone to press to dispute AngloPlats, ARM, Shapiro, Barry S etc simply because it is "wise politics" not to disrupt DMR and legal reviews. More noise from NKP may have an adverse impact across the authorities attempting to sort this MESS. Best to shut up and wait as there is nothing to gain at this point in time.
I am 100% sure that the Minister will clear all mining issues during Indaba ( early FEB). NKP is not the only company attempting to retain its prospecting rights. Have others made noise in the market place? NO!
At the end of the day it will relate to the contest between the greed of the big boys versus the upstart minors who wish to participate in successful Sth African ventures.My money is on the minors.
