I have a problem this week. my car is just over 10 years old. has done 160k. One owner since new. I do not wish to buy a new car that depreciates by 60% in 3 years (thats bad value), but would rather keep the bomb moving till it dies before purchasing a new car. The problem is that in the last few days, when I start it in the morning until the temperature guage reaches 33% hot, the car seems to run on 3 cylinders instead of 4, and jerks me around for about 15 minutes thus making my ride uncomfortable. Once the temp moves up, its steady as she goes. Is it the engine or maybe the timing belt or maybe only a service or maybe a blocked fuel pipe or mayeb i need to put some premium fule in for a change to the standard ULP or maybe leaking leads to the spark plugs? Has done 10k since last full service. ps. I do not trust Ultratune any more. :-)
