What a delightful "tongue in cheek" post (I hope?). Alan Burns may well have been affected by alcohol at the time of what will become known as his infamous "wasn't that meant to be off the record" assessment of what HDR is worth to WPL.

As for Dana placing a $5 or higher value on HDR - I can't see it. Dana is only a relative minnow itself (capitalised at A$420m) so I doubt that it would be in a position to make an offer. Anyway it has over 85% of blocks 1, 7 and 8 so it doesn't need HDR's equity. Its more likely to be diluting its holding by way of farm-outs.
