You are using the metric system Im thinking.
The U.S. ton is different and has 29,166troy oz to the U.S. Ton, but I am assuming that the COMEX being U.S. is using U.S. weights and measures. Another name for the U.S. ton is a short ton. But you can measure the COMEX in metric tons if you wish, I don't have a problem with that. That would mean there are less tons of gold in the COMEX than what I have stated, and I did state it is an approximation only. Like the COMEX disclaimer my figures are only approximate.
