Hearing on Threat to Close Witnesses’ Headquarters in Russia Adjourned Again

On September 23, 2016, the Tver District Court of Moscow adjourned its consideration of the Witnesses’ appeal against the warning that threatens to liquidate their national headquarters. Just three days before the scheduled hearing, the Prosecutor General’s Office filed objections with the court and included more than 200 pages of materials. The Witnesses submitted a motion requesting time to review the documentation, and the judge set the hearing to resume on October 12, 2016. The court will then consider the Witnesses’ appeal as well as the legality of the warning against the Administrative Center.
