    LINQ RESOURCES FUND
    ASX ANNOUNCEMENT
ELKEDRA DIAMONDS NL COMMENCES DIAMOND PRODUCTION
    3 JULY 2006
LinQ is pleased to advise that Elkedra Diamonds NL (ASX: EDN, AIM: EDN), an investee company of
the fund, has informed the ASX through an announcement made to the market on 30 June 2006 (see
attached) that diamond production has commenced at its Chapada Diamond Project in Brazil.
LinQ has previously provided Elkedra with a $5,000,000 secured mezzanine finance facility with a 3-year
term in September 2005 to fund the completion of construction of the Chapada Diamond Project. LinQ
was issued with 6.25 million 3-year options in Elkedra with an exercise price of $0.40 per option.
On 22 June 2006 LinQ announced it had executed a Standby Facility Agreement for the provision of $5
million of standby finance to Elkedra Diamonds NL and had been issued with 400,000 options exercisable
at 90 cents and 200,000 options exercisable at $1.20 in Elkedra Diamonds NL. These options expire on 31
    May 2010.
The Standby Facility is provided in 2 lines. The first line of $3 million has been drawn down and LinQ
was issued a further 1,600,000 options exercisable at 90 cents expiring on 31 May 2010. The second line
of $2 million is subject to certain conditions and if drawn, will result in the issue of a further 800,000
options exercisable at $1.20 expiring on 31 May 2010.
