The interesting thing I found was that the original device (using silicon) was developed by the U.K. defence and evaluation research agency. Royalties will be payable for this device however Oncosil has proprietary rights over another device using calcium vehicle (old report from 2014).
The phase 2 clinical study (higher dosage) had insufficient numbers for a robust outcome on increasing survival rates and that is likely to be a sticking point with the CE mark. They may wait until results from the lead-in study are complete before issuing CE.
