The LNP needs to re-invent themselves from being the party of the Boomers, so you are right in that respect. The Nats have not seen much movement while the Libs have been driven out of all metropolitan areas across all states. It says a lot that they cannot continue being the same outfit - being in climate denial, antagonising women folk, pandering to big businesses, amongst others that deter the growing Gen Zs from embracing them.

The young will be screwed not by political parties but by the threat of AI in the future which render them less employment opportunities. And being a country of mining and services, if they don't step up to take on mining roles that the Boomer generation does, and services spending reduced over time, there can be only so many tradies. I have long said that our economic base needs to be widened to increase opportunities to offset losses from AI.

Housing affordability will not change under any political party if and as long as we embrace free market mechanism. There are cheaper housing supplies available, it is just that people want to be located in areas that are more accessible that they don't have to travel as far. If we think that housing prices are a big problem here, one should look at New York, Hong Kong and some other big cities around the world to compare, where you'd be lucky to own a 'hole in the sky' rather than property with land and lawn that we do here.
