there is a huge difference visually between 0.1% and 1% copper mineralisation. As a geo you would be totally crapola if you couldnt tell the percentage with a bit more acuracy than this. Mind you I have worked with a geo who claimed to have visible gold in a core sample until it was pointed out that it was cubic and turned black when you scratched it :)
