Two things....we ARE the leaders in this field and years ahead of others...and we will have a new treatment on the market soon....it is true it takes years to get a research from the tube and a lab dish to clinical trials...but do not underestimate Japanese in this field or any others...they could not give a toss if the US approves their stem cells for THEIR use...they are already determine to get any new reliable and safe treatments to the market after PH2....
if those cells are truly as good as they say they are, they could developed the full technology/drugs in no time at all....and after few years or so they MAY go and do the trials for the US approval...
Japanese are a very "introverted" nation as a whole....I do not think they would wait for Yankees say so of their products before they could start treating their own...
just my thoughts on the subject..:-)
