As a non-Guru vinn, all I can say is we have a long way yet to see the full development of beneficial stem cell research which is now world wide. My belief is it will still be expanding 50 years from now. But just as the search for stronger antibiotics has now come to a dead end, the search for an sc therapy to cure every ill will eventually come to an end too.

In the meantime the like of MSB are needed to take the lead to get life saving therapies actually fed into life threatened patients ASAP or sooner! - thereby carving the way for others to walk the walk if they can? The governments of USA, Japan,and others seem to be saying they prefer the "sooner option".

The day may well come when iPSC developers can grow you a new ear or a new liver from your own cells (make sure you have top level health cover)- it's a very long way off I reckon.

Meantime, I'll stick with the professor for a while yet.
