Interesting article. Sounds similar to HDR's activities in the region - although we wouldn't call HDR a "junior" any more would we???

I recall someone posting on Guyana's oil industry a while back and like this article their focus was on large and underexplored potential. From what I read then the Guyanan sandstones are similar to those in neighbouring regions that have yielded significant hydrocarbons. I believe that the source rocks offshore Guyane (where HDR has the licence) are expected to likewise be of excellent reservoir quality.
