I can't see the problem with the large scale in the same way as you do.
There would be the posibility to deliver less to Starck and the rest to another costumer e.g.
I can't get the sense that there is too much tantalum there and so just smaller mines get the chance to produce, then start Abu Dabbab up smaller.

The only unacceptable attitude imo is the one from the management, telling nothing and reaching nothing.
