got it , Shekel effectively weighs up the honesty of the customer at the self checkout. Shekel shoots out the red flags to Woolies management in real time, who then engage the customer , make a quick judgement call as to the level of culpable behaviour, if any , before customer leaves the store .
it will still flag an awful lot of honest mistakes, but that’s okay as at least it gives woolies the right moment to intervene and run an educative strategy .
it would be interesting if Woolies used this analytical tool to develop State , Suburb and individual shopper profiles . Put it this way, if a Woolies store in say , Bondi , has a high percentage of weekly red flags, Management could introduce a different compliance strategy into that store, that region or what ever. Works for me
