You are not wrong about the Middle East, was recently there and couldnt get over the development going on. STS getting out of there UK operations is a smart move, lets hope they can establish solid relationships within the Middle East and Asia, because both regions will continue to grow in the future.
The world is not simply going to come to a stop, yeah the US is in trouble and they have themselves to blame, but its called a cycle, something you learn in Year 9 Economics.
